Jury selection underway in accused cop killer’s trial

LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) – Jury selection in the trial of accused cop killer Andrew Romero is underway in Los Lunas. For this high profile case, local law enforcement isn’t taking any chances.
With emotions running high in Rio Rancho where Officer Gregg “Nigel” Benner was shot and killed more than a year ago this trial was moved to Valencia County.
