Jury deliberations continue in Santa Fe County murder trial

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A Santa Fe County jury could deliberate a triple homicide case into next week. Nicholas Ortiz was 16 years old in 2011 when he allegedly murdered Lloyd Ortiz, his wife Dixie, and their son Stephen in their home near Española.
Prosecutors say it happened when Ortiz went to rob them of money and marijuana. The defense says there is a lack of physical evidence in the case.
If convicted, Ortiz faces a life sentence.
