Judge named in corruption case against former New Mexico senator

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A judge has been named to preside over the criminal case against former New Mexico Senator Phil Griego.The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court appointed District Judge Brett Lovelace to preside over the case Monday.
The announcement comes after several judges declined to hear the case.Griego has pleaded not guilty to charges including fraud, bribery, tampering with public records.
