Judge denies request to move trial for suspect in robbery, veteran’s murder

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The trial for a woman charged in connection to the murder of a veteran will stay in Albuquerque.
Police say Veronica Trimble was with Matthew Chavez back in February when Chavez allegedly shot and killed Tyler Lackey during a robbery at an ATM.
Trimble and Chavez fled and were later caught in Oklahoma.
Trimble had asked a judge last month to move her trial because of media coverage, but the judge denied the request and the trial will stay here.
