Judge changes trial venue for accused cop killer

VALENCIA COUNTY (KRQE) – The two people charged with the murder of Rio Rancho Officer Gregg Benner were hoping to move their trials to a new venue on Tuesday.
Andrew Romero and Tabitha Littles stood before a judge in Sandoval County to ask for their trials to be moved. Lawyers say they can’t get a fair trial here because of non-stop news coverage.
