Interim APD chief sworn into office Tuesday

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) -The Albuquerque Police Department officially has new leadership.
Michael Geier was sworn in on Tuesday as the interim Albuquerque Police Chief.
Geier replaces Gorden Eden who retired last week. Geier spent three years as Rio Rancho’s Police Chief before stepping down in February.
He also previously worked at the Albuquerque Police Department.
Two deputy chief’s, Harold Medina and Rogelio Banez, were also sworn in by Mayor Tim Keller.
