Increased fire threat in southern New Mexico

Calmer weather continues for most of New Mexico this afternoon. Our next storm system moves in tomorrow.
Wind speeds are beginning to increase of southern New Mexico this afternoon as our next storm system prepares to move in. These southwesterly winds are pulling warm and dry air in southern and southeastern New Mexico. This is leading to warming temperatures, particularly in southeastern New Mexico where temperatures could reach the 80's. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warn
