Heavy smoke expected in Santa Fe area tonight

SANTA FE — Santa Fe National Forest officials are urging residents in and around the Santa Fe area to close their windows tonight because of expected heavy smoke from a prescribed burn.
Other areas that could be hit include Tesuque, Glorieta, Pecos and Pecos Canyon, El Dorado and the nearby Interstate 25 area and lingering smoke may be present for up to one week, fire officials said in a news release.
