Heavy Rain coming to the northern mountains today

Scattered mountain storms will be seen today. Temperatures in southeast New Mexico stay above 100 Degrees.
More rainfall will be seen along the mountains this afternoon and through the evening. The heaviest rain will be concentrated in the northern mountains. Due to this heavy rainfall the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon burn scar area through the evening of Thursday August 8th. A flood watch has not yet been issued for the Ruidoso burn scars. H
