Grants installs security cameras to catch cemetery vandals

GRANTS, N.M. (KRQE) – The vandalism at one New Mexico cemetery has gotten so bad, the city has had to install surveillance cameras. Six cameras have now been installed at the Grants cemetery which is run by the city.
Officials tell the Cibola Beacon the biggest problem is flowers, vases, and lights being taken, but headstones are also being damaged. The hope is that the cameras will not only catch vandals in the act but deter them. All the cameras are HD which means they provide very clear
