Gov. Susana Martinez in Washington D.C. to welcome Pope Francis

Gov. Susana Martinez traveled to Washington D.C. today to attend a White House welcoming event for Pope Francis, who is in the United States for the first time on a six-day visit.
Martinez, who also traveled to the Vatican City in 2013 as part of a delegation attending Pope Francis’ inaugural Mass, will also meet with federal agencies and with U.S. Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M., while in the nation’s capital, the Governor’s Office said this afternoon.
