Gov. Martinez signs executive order to consolidate personnel functions

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Gov. Susana Martinez is ordering New Mexico executive agencies to eliminate human resources divisions by shifting them to a single agency.
The Governor described the current operations as fragmented and inefficient.
A State Personnel spokesperson said the move will save taxpayers millions of dollars a year, but it is unclear how many employees will be affected.
This happens as the state wrestles with stunted state revenues.
