Fugitive involved in Santa Fe SWAT situation turns himself in

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – The man who escaped a SWAT situation in Santa Fe has turned himself in to police.
Joaquin Chavez-Archuleta had a warrant out for his arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon when SWAT teams surrounded a house in Santa Fe on Thursday.
Police say the SWAT team had tossed in a flash-bang grenade and entered the home, but didn’t find Archuleta-Chavez inside.
Police say he is now in custody after turning himself in just before 10 p.m. Friday night.
