Fuel reduction project planned for Sandia Ranger District

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) -- A decision memo has been signed for a 'fuel reduction' project in Sandoval and Bernalillo Counties.The US Forest Service said the North Sandia Fuels Reduction Project will begin this fall, first with initial phrases.The project will target 2,965 acres in the Sandia Ranger District, and it's meant to maintain the forest's conditions.
