Former New Mexico senator faces criminal charges

SANTA FE (KRQE) – Former Senator Phil Griego is facing fraud, perjury, tampering with public records along with other charges according to the Attorney’s General Office.
The complaint was filed in Santa Fe District Court Monday.
According to the complaint, Griego earned more than $50,000 in commissions that he never disclosed to legislators or state employees. Griego is also accused of hiding the transaction from his broker.
