Flooding brings traffic to a crawl on Paseo Del Norte

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)– Major backups on Paseo Del Norte where flooding on the roadway brought traffic to a crawl Saturday night.
The water covered the road in both directions on the Rio Grande overpass forcing traffic to be reduced to one lane each way.
The water authority says it’s investigating whether or not the flooding was caused by a backed up storm drain or a broken water main.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible and to expect heavy delays.
