Fire nearing homes in Carnuel area, crews responding

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A fire is burning south of Interstate 40 in Bernalillo County, east of Tramway.
The fire is near Herrera Road in the Carnuel area, and is approaching homes and structures.
According to KRQE News 13 crews, neighbors are watering down their properties to protect their homes.
Fire crews from the Bernalillo County Fire Department are responding to the blaze, along with members of the Albuquerque Fire Department.
