Fire Chief to keep job following racy pics scandal

LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) – The fire chief caught on camera in racy photos will remain on the job.
The pictures of Valencia County Fire Chief Steven Gonzales and two division chiefs surfaced earlier this month. They were taken while the men were in Indianapolis for a training conference back in April.
Since then, the men have publicly apologized. But county leadership still asked the chief to voluntarily resign, which he refused to do.
