Fight continues over what jury will hear in Sandy, Perez trial

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.  (KRQE) – Both prosecution and defense lawyers for two former Albuquerque police officers are preparing to head back into court.
The former APD officers Dominique Perez and Keith Sandy are charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of homeless camper James Boyd. They shot and killed Boyd in a long stand off in the Foothills back in 2014.
Both Perez and Sandy claim the shooting was in self-defense because Boyd had two knives.
While opening statements are
