Farmington ranchers settle lawsuit over killed roosters
FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) – Ranchers in Farmington who had hundreds of roosters and chickens killed after a cockfighting investigation have settled their federal lawsuit against a New Mexico State Police agent.
The Farmington Daily-Times reports that an attorney for father-and-son ranchers Reyes and Mario Marin confirmed Monday that an agreement was reached at a settlement conference.
The Marins accused New Mexico State Police agent Max Salas and other officials of violating their constitution
