Farmington airport hopes to welcome commercial flights once again

FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – Commercial flights may soon be taking off in Farmington again.
The Four Corners Regional Airport is undergoing some runway enhancements thanks to a $3 million federal grant. Airport Manager Mike Lewis says they expect construction to wrap up by mid-December.
If all standards are met, they hope to see flights coming in and out by next summer. Their last commercial flight was two years ago.
