Family stops suspected snowmobile thief

TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) – One family took matters into their own hands when a man stole their snowmobiles. According to Taos News, a family spotted Wayne Romero Jr. and another man stealing two snowmobiles they were selling.
Police say they chased the suspect until Romero pulled out a gun. But the family jumped him and called police.
The suspect claims the other man was a hitchhiker. Romero was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
