Eastbound I-40 slowly reopens Monday

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – After being shut down for a day and a half, I-40 slowly started opening up again Monday morning. Drivers still had a long wait as police tried to clear the bottleneck.
The Department of Transportation said that eastbound I-40 would be open in Albuquerque at 9:30 but on-ramps throughout the city have stayed closed.
Albuquerque Police say it’s been taking a while to get trucks that parked on I-40 moving again. That big jam of trucks and nasty weather east of the ci
