East canyon winds pick up tonight in the Rio Grande Valley

A cold front will bring gusty east canyon winds into the Rio Grande Valley overnight. Parts of New Mexico will see a few spotty showers Tuesday.After a record breaking warm weekend across New Mexico, temperatures are cooler Monday especially in eastern parts of the state. That's where a backdoor cold front has moved in, leaving temperatures as much as 20° compared to Sunday. Winds have been breezy along and behind that front.
