DWI suspect found dead in Dona Ana County jail cell

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) – Dona Ana County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death of a drunken driving suspect who was being held at the county jail.
Authorities say 38-year-old Phillip Carrillo was found unresponsive early Thursday inside his cell. First responders tried to revive him but he was pronounced dead shortly after.
