Dona Ana County to reopen juvenile detention center

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) – The Dona Ana County Juvenile Detention Center is set to reopen after about a year of sitting empty.
The Las Cruces Sun-News reports that the center closed last year after high attrition rates among jail officers prompted detention center officials to combine the youth and adult facilities. On Friday 18 juvenile inmates will be moved back into the facilities.
