Dog Head Fire: Type-1 team takes over, meeting held for evacuees

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Day six of the Dog Head Fire is looking positive as crews are making progress against the massive blaze.
The latest numbers, more than 17,000 acres scorched in the Manzano Mountains, six miles northwest of Taijque with minimal growth.
Nearly 1000 people are working to put it out, as a Type One team took over command of the fire fight Sunday morning. This will increase the nearly 1,000 people working on the fire.
