Doña Ana County jail guard facing charges

DOÑA ANA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A jail guard caught on camera roughing up a man in custody is now facing charges.
Luis Ruiz, 26, is seen slamming the handcuffed man to the ground while booking him into the Doña Ana County Detention Center. The man was taken to the hospital and is ok.
Ruiz is charged with aggravated battery. His next court date is scheduled for April 22.
