District Attorney-elect: Panel will review Sandy, Perez deadly shooting case

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Incoming District Attorney Raul Torrez announced Tuesday that the case involving former Albuquerque police officers Keith Sandy and Dominique Perez will be reviewed by an independent panel.
Perez and Sandy stood trial for the 2014 shooting death of James Boyd in October. After 13 days of testimony, that trial ended with a hung jury and the judge declared a mistrial.
