District Attorney Brandenburg not seeking re-election

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Bernalillo County District Attorney, Kari Brandenburg, will not seek re-election.
Brandenburg first took office in 2001. During her tenure the DA’s Office developed programs aimed at reaching out to youth including curbing truancy among students.
She has also been criticized for her handling of a series of cases involving Albuquerque Police officers.
