Digital proof of car insurance helping combat identity theft

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police are warning that the common habit of leaving your insurance card in your glovebox gives crooks a quick way to steal your identity.
On Saturday, News 13 asked several people at the dog park at the corner of Iron and Lead where they keep their auto insurance ID. All of them answered “the glovebox.”
