DA: Albuquerque officer justified for returning gunfire

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – District Attorney Kari Brandenburg announced Thursday that Albuquerque Police Officer Lou Golson was justified in returning fire at a suspected drunk driver.
Albuquerque Police Department Officer Lou Golson was struck three times in January 2015 during a traffic stop.
It turns out, the suspect was also driving a stolen vehicle and when Golson approached the car, the man shot at him. Golson returned fire, then called for help.
