Crews continue to battle large Bosque fire near La Joya

LA JOYA, N.M. (KRQE) – Fire crews are busy battling a large fire in the Bosque just outside of La Joya that has residents on high alert.
As of Monday morning, officials say the fire has grown to about 300 acres after jumping the river Sunday evening.
Crews were called out to La Joya around 11 a.m. Sunday after residents spotted the first signs of trouble. One family reported they returned home from church when they smelled smoke, looked outside and saw flames rising fro
