Couple arrested after burns found on young girl

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)– A mom and her fiancée are charged after police say the fiancée went too far disciplining an eight-year-old girl.
According to a criminal complaint that girl told police that her mom’s fiancée, Gregory Pierce, burned her arm with a lighter.
Investigators say the girl told them her mother Julia Ann Kirsch told her to claim she got burned making ravioli.
Pierce is facing a child abuse charge.
