Counterfeit money showing up in Uptown

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Fake $10 bills are popping up around Albuquerque, specifically Uptown. For the unsuspected shopper, it’s hard to tell real from fake.
Marcella Arellanes is holding her first counterfeit bill that she knows of.
“I gave them a twenty and they gave me back this ten,” said Arellanes.
