Council puts school administrator accused of stealing funds on leave

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Embattled Albuquerque School Board member Analee Maestas is on paid leave Wednesday.
Maestas is accused of sending a cleaning crew to her house, then changing the $340 receipt to make it look like the cleaning was done at her school, La Promesa Early Learning Center.
Maestas was the executive director for the charter school.
News 13 was able to get Maestas on the phone Wednesday morning but she would not comment on the suspension.
