Cool down ahead for eastern New Mexico

Thursday was an unseasonably warm day for parts of the state as temperatures ranged from 5-15 degrees, or more, above normal. This afternoon Las Vegas and Tucumcari reached record warmth territory breaking record highs that were previously set in 1999 (Las Vegas) and 1974 (Tucumcari).
