Construction begins on I-40, Louisiana off-ramp

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Get ready for the orange barrels, closures and delays at the I-40, Louisiana interchange.
Monday is the day the overhaul of that off-ramp begins.
The project will not only repair the crumbling asphalt, but will add additional exit lanes and more high tech traffic signals.
While there will be closures, Department of Transportation officials say the goal is to keep those overnight between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
