Comanche Fire burning in Manzano Mountains

MANZANO MOUNTAINS, N.M. (KRQE) – A new fire was reported Thursday afternoon in the Manzano Mountains south of Albuquerque.
Officials from the Southwest Coordination Center say the Comanche Fire is three quarters of the way up the westside of the mountain, about a mile and a half west of Capilla Peak.
Fire officials say it is currently estimated at 1 to 1.5 acres in size burning in heavy timber in very rugged terrain within the Manzano Mountain Wilderness.
