Colfax County begins level II fire restrictions

COLFAX COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Increased fire danger has prompted one New Mexico county to begin level II fire restrictions.
Colfax County is implementing the restrictions in the Cibola National Forest.
Officials say the new restrictions prohibit the following:
Campfires, charcoal grills, coal or wood stoves. This does not apply to area residents provided the fires are within a permanent structure
Explosives
Smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle or building
Fireworks and other pyrotechn
