Cold front brings rain, snow to northeastern New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – A mass of cold air that moved through northeastern New Mexico on Thursday brought a mixture of freezing rain, sleet and snow.
The wintry weather began moving into the state Wednesday evening, is expected to peak Friday and likely to taper off on Saturday.
National Weather Service meteorologist Kerry Jones says the cold front brought mostly freezing rain by midday Thursday, though there were reports of snow near Clayton, Trinidad and Raton Pass.
