CMA rescinds media restrictions for awards show, apologizes

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Country Music Association is apologizing after trying to impose restrictions on any questions by the media about the mass shooting in Las Vegas, gun rights or political affiliations at its awards show next Wednesday.
A statement from the CMA on Friday said the restrictions on topics in their media guidelines have been lifted, which comes following a backlash by artists, including from the co-host for the awards show, Brad Paisley.
