City admits DOJ police reform behind schedule

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – In federal court, the city of Albuquerque acknowledged it’s likely a federal monitor will be around longer than the mayor and police had hoped.
Friday marked the halfway point for the police reform deal signed two years ago but the city admitted its behind schedule.
That means Albuquerque may have to pay more to keep an independent monitor around until the Albuquerque Police Department can prove it has made significant changes to the way it polices the Duke
