Chances for rain and snow with a warmer weekend ahead

A change in the flow of the jet stream over New Mexico will be bringing precipitation chances later this evening. Another chance in the flow over the weekend will lead to warmer temperatures.
Northwesterly flow is increasing over New Mexico this afternoon. This flow will bring snow and rain chances to the state. Upwards of 6 inches of snow is possible in the northern mountains tonight though the early morning tomorrow. Due to this anticipated snow, the National Weather Service has issued a Winte
