Cato 2 Fire burns 2,080 acres southeast New Mexico

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Officials are working to contain the Cato 2 Fire in southeast New Mexico. The Cato 2 Fire is located in Chaves County, northeast of Roswell. The fire has burned 2,080 acres in size, but is now 60% contained. The fire is believed to have been caused by lightning.
