Board revokes former cop’s certification after DWI charges

SANTA FE (KRQE) – The former officer accused of driving drunk and crashing into a building will not be able to work as a police officer in New Mexico.
In September, Santa Fe police tried to pull over former cop Jesus Bencomo Zubiate. Investigators say he fled, slamming into a building near the plaza.
Police say he was drunk and was taken to jail.
The New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy Board has now revoked his certification.
