Black Student Union at UNM celebrates 55 years on campus

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The University of New Mexico is honoring Black History Month by celebrating its own big milestone. This year marks 55 years of activism for the Black Student Union, previously known as the Afro Studies Program, at UNM. Established in 1969, the university was one of the first in the nation to create a program like it.
