Bidding war brews over Sandia Labs management contract

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A bidding war is brewing over a contract for Sandia National Laboratories.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, the National Nuclear Security Administration has announced the 19 organizations from around the country interested in the labs.
The $2.9 billion management contract for the labs is up for bid.
Right now, defense giant Lockheed Martin holds the contract. A new Sandia contract must be in place by April 2017 under the current schedule.
