Bernalillo County launches criminal justice reform

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County is taking a new approach to help manage its jail population at the Metropolitan Detention Center.
The county is joining forces with the White House. The Obama administration’s Data-Driven Justice Initiative is a bipartisan coalition of 67 city, county and state governments. It is billed as “disrupting the cycle of incarceration.” Bernalillo County is the only entity represented in New Mexico.
