Authorities: Man killed by police pointed gun at officer

ALBUQUERQUE (AP) – Authorities say a man shot by police this month had pointed his weapon at an officer before he was killed.
Officer Simon Drobik said Thursday that two officers who shot at 19-year-old Jose Rodriguez on Dec. 22 as they responded to reports of an attempted carjacking have been interviewed by investigators.
Patrol officers Shawana Romero and Andrew Quillman have been with Albuquerque police since 2001.
